Air stones and flexible air diffusers that turn pump air into fine bubbles. Cylinder, round, trapezoid and rectangular stones from 1.7 to 12 inch, weighted and suction cup models, and flexible diffusers in 2, 3 and 4 foot lengths.

Choosing a shape
Cylinder stones suit buckets and small reservoirs, and versions with a base stay upright on the bottom. Round disc stones from 4 to 10 inch spread bubbles across a wide area in larger reservoirs. Trapezoid stones from 4 to 12 inch sit flat and low. Flexible diffusers in 2, 3 and 4 foot lengths lie along the length of a long reservoir or trough for even aeration.
Materials and tubing
AquaVita diffusers are made from carborundum and ceramic fired at high temperature, which produces a fine, consistent bubble and resists breaking down in nutrient solution. They connect to 3/16 inch inside diameter air tubing.
Air Stones & Air Diffusers FAQ
Do bigger air stones add more oxygen?
A larger stone spreads the same air over more surface and makes finer bubbles, which improves oxygen transfer, as long as the pump can supply it.
How often should air stones be replaced?
Clean them between crops and replace them when the bubbles become large or uneven, which means the pores are clogged.
What size tubing fits these stones?
3/16 inch inside diameter air tubing.
