Bags: rolls or precut
Rolls let you cut any length, and boxes with a slide cutter make it quick. Precut bags save time when you seal the same size all day. Bags are embossed on one side so the sealer can pull air out. Thicker bags, measured in mil, resist punctures from stems.
Clear, black or both
All clear bags show the contents. All black bags block light, which protects light sensitive contents and keeps them private. Black and clear bags give both: light protection on one side and a window on the other. Aluminum mylar rolls add a full light and moisture barrier.
Choosing a sealer
Match the seal bar width to the widest bag you use. Commercial and industrial sealers have stronger pumps and are built for continuous duty. An impulse heat sealer makes a wide seal on mylar and poly bags without pulling a vacuum.

Will vacuum sealing crush flower?
A full vacuum can compress it. Use the pulse or manual seal function to stop the vacuum early, or seal without vacuum.
What bag thickness should I use?
Thicker bags resist punctures and hold a seal longer. Use heavier bags for stemmy or long term storage.
Do all bags work with all sealers?
Embossed vacuum bags work with most clamp style sealers, as long as the bag is no wider than the seal bar.
