Three ways to raise carbon dioxide: gas fired CO2 generators for sealed rooms, regulators for bottled CO2, and passive bags and pads for tents and small spaces.

Generators and regulators
A CO2 generator burns natural gas or propane to produce carbon dioxide, and is the economical choice for larger sealed rooms. Burner count sets the output, and models are jetted for the fuel type and for altitude. A regulator meters bottled CO2 through a solenoid and flow gauge, which adds no heat or moisture and suits small and mid size rooms. Both are run from a CO2 controller.
Passive CO2
CO2 bags contain a mycelial mass that releases carbon dioxide continuously for about six months with no power or equipment. Delay activated versions start when you open them. CO2 pads release carbon dioxide when misted. Both hang just above the canopy in tents and small rooms.
Grow Room CO2 FAQ
Does CO2 increase yield?
In a room with strong light and good climate control, raising CO2 to around 1,000 to 1,500 ppm allows plants to use more light and grow faster.
Do I need a sealed room for CO2?
For generators and bottled CO2, yes, or the gas is exhausted before plants can use it. Passive bags suit vented tents.
Natural gas or propane generator?
Choose the fuel you have on site. The burners are jetted differently, so the two are not interchangeable without a conversion.
