Electric globe valves and solenoids
Netafim Series 80 and GROW1 2 way globe valves open and close a zone on a 24VAC signal from an irrigation controller. Size the valve by zone flow: the 3/4 inch valve handles up to 26 GPM, the 1 inch valve up to 44 GPM and the 1.5 inch valve up to 110 GPM. Replacement 24VAC solenoids are sold separately.
Shut off and flow control valves
Barbed shut off valves in 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch and 17mm shut off valves isolate a single row or bench for maintenance. An adjustable flow valve lets you throttle one line without changing the rest of the zone.
Air vents and flush valves
Air and vacuum relief vents release trapped air as the system fills and let air back in as it drains, which protects tubing and drippers from vacuum. Install them at the high points of the system. Automatic flush valves sit at the end of a lateral and purge sediment at the start of each cycle.
Irrigation Valves & Air Vents FAQ
What voltage do these irrigation valves use?
The electric globe valves and solenoids listed here operate on 24VAC, the standard output of irrigation controllers.
How do I size an electric valve?
Add up the flow of every dripper in the zone, convert it to gallons per minute and choose a valve whose flow range covers that number.
Where should an air relief vent be installed?
At the highest point of the mainline or manifold, where air collects as the system fills.
