Stainless mesh screens
Stainless steel mesh is durable, food safe and easy to clean. Sheets are sold in packs and sized to cut and fold into filters, pressing pouches and sieves. Lower micron numbers mean finer mesh: choose fine mesh for filtering and pressing and coarser mesh for sifting.
Pollen tumblers
A pollen tumbler rotates dry material inside a screened barrel and collects the resin that falls through. Capacity runs from small 150 gram units to 1,500 gram commercial units, and a cycle takes as little as 15 minutes. Tumblers ship with a 145 micron screen, and 125 and 185 micron barrels and screens are available to tune yield against purity. Motors, couplers and bolts are stocked as replacement parts.
Extraction Mesh Screens & Pollen Tumblers FAQ
What micron screen is best for dry sift?
Around 125 to 145 micron is a common starting point. A finer screen gives a cleaner result with lower yield, and a coarser screen does the opposite.
Should material be frozen before tumbling?
Cold, dry material releases resin more cleanly. Many operators chill material and the barrel before a run.
Can mesh screens be reused?
Yes. Stainless mesh cleans up with isopropyl alcohol and lasts for many uses.
