Irrigation Cycle Planner
Find how many times a day to irrigate, how much per event, and how long to run the pump for coco, rockwool, perlite, clay pebbles, and soil.

Calibrate: run one cycle and measure runoff. Adjust shot size up or down by 10%.
Starting points by medium
| Medium | Cycles/day veg | Cycles/day flower | Shot size | Runoff |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coco coir | 3 to 5 | 5 to 8 | 10 to 15% of container | 10 to 20% |
| Rockwool | 4 to 6 | 6 to 10 | 6 to 10% of slab | 10 to 20% |
| Perlite mix | 4 to 6 | 6 to 9 | 10 to 15% of container | 15 to 25% |
| Clay pebbles | 6 to 12 | 8 to 14 | Until saturation | 20 to 30% |
| Soil / Promix | 1 to 2 | 1 to 3 | Until 10 to 15% runoff | 10 to 15% |
Shot size = container volume × medium shot fraction × (1 + runoff). Run time = shot volume ÷ (emitter GPH × emitters). More frequent, smaller shots keep oxygen in the root zone. These are starting points; verify with a calibration bucket.
