Liquid systems
Three part systems split nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium across grow, micro and bloom bottles so the ratio can be tuned week by week. Two part A and B formulas mix in equal measure and are made in versions for recirculating hydroponics, drain to waste and coco. One part formulas suit growers who want the simplest program.
Dry and organic
Water soluble powders cost less to ship, store without freezing and mix fresh at any strength, which suits fertigation and large reservoirs. Organic bases built on fish, seaweed, guano and plant extracts feed the soil biology as well as the plant and are the choice for living soil and no till beds.

Two part or three part?
Three part systems give the most control over ratios. Two part systems are quicker to mix and harder to get wrong.
Do I need a different base for coco?
Coco formulas carry extra calcium and magnesium because coco holds those elements. A standard base works in coco with a cal-mag supplement.
How strong should I mix?
Start at half the label rate and raise it as the plant asks for more, checking EC and runoff.
