Why grow in fabric
Fabric provides excellent drainage and does not trap heat the way a dark plastic wall can. When a root reaches the fabric it meets air and stops, and the plant branches new feeder roots behind it instead of circling the pot. The result is a greater overall root mass in the same volume of media. Fabric pots work indoors and outdoors and fold flat for storage.
Sizes, colors and handles
GROW1 fabric pots run from 1 gallon to 600 gallon in black and tan, with a handled version from 1 to 30 gallon for plants that get moved. Tan fabric reflects more light and stays cooler in full sun. Sizes from 100 gallon up act as instant raised beds. A tall 2 gallon pot and a four pouch wall hanging planter cover special cases.
Prune Pots and PruneX
Prune Pots add sewn carrying handles across the range. PruneX pots use an ultra thick fabric and an overlapping hook and loop seam, so the pot opens flat and the root ball transplants without being pulled or cut.
Fabric Pots FAQ
Can fabric pots be reused?
Yes. Empty the pot, brush or wash it, let it dry and store it flat. Heavy duty fabric lasts for multiple seasons.
Black or tan fabric pots?
Tan reflects more light and runs cooler in full sun, which suits outdoor and greenhouse growing. Black is the standard indoor choice.
Do fabric pots need more water?
They dry faster than plastic because the sides breathe, so expect to water or irrigate more often, especially in smaller sizes.
