Deep water culture kits
In a deep water culture system the roots are immersed in an oxygen infused nutrient solution. The GROW1 5 gallon kit is a single bucket system with everything included, and the 4 bucket kit links four sites to a shared reservoir so the solution is managed in one place.
Modular Platinium systems
Platinium systems are self contained units on a universal base with interchangeable parts. Each includes the reservoir, tray, tubing kit, pump and an easy access reservoir lid.
- AeroStar and AeroTop: aeroponic systems with pots, aero plates, neoprene inserts and 360 degree sprayers.
- HydroStar: top feed drip to square pots, from 4 pots in the 40 series up to 30 in the 120 series. Big pot versions use 18 and 25 liter pots.
- HydroStone: top feed drip for rockwool cubes or square pots.
- Ebb & Flow: a deep flood and drain tray for clay pebbles, coco or rockwool, with drainage designed to avoid stagnant water.
- Pyramid: a self contained system built for high plant counts, with everything needed to grow up to 100 plants.
The series number describes the footprint: the 40, 60, 40:90, 100 and 120 series step up in size, and the 100 series measures about 38.5 by 38.5 inches.
Hydroponic Systems FAQ
What comes in a complete system?
A reservoir, a tray or buckets, a pump, the tubing kit and the pots or inserts for that system type. Add nutrients, media and a light.
Which system fits a 4 by 4 tent?
A system with a footprint of about 39 inches square, such as the 100 series, fits a 4 by 4 foot tent with room to work.
Aeroponic or drip?
Aeroponic systems give the fastest growth and need clean sprayers and a reliable pump. Drip systems are more forgiving and work with a wider range of media.
