Fixtures and panels
High output LED fixtures cover a flowering canopy with a full spectrum at a lower operating temperature and lower amp draw than HID lighting. Efficiency is listed in micromoles per joule, and higher numbers mean more light for the same power. Panel style fixtures with onboard and remote controls suit tents and smaller rooms.
Strips, bulbs and string lights
LED strip lights in 2 and 4 foot lengths replace T5 fluorescent over clones, seedlings and shelving, in bloom, veg and full spectrum versions. Standard base LED grow bulbs fit any household socket. Expandable greenhouse string lights hang a line of LED grow bulbs down the length of a greenhouse or hoop house for supplemental or photoperiod lighting.
LED Grow Lights FAQ
What does umol/J mean?
Micromoles per joule is the efficiency of a grow light: how much plant usable light it produces for each watt of electricity. Higher is better.
Can LED strips replace T5 tubes?
Yes. LED strips give similar gentle light for propagation and veg while using less power and producing less heat.
What are greenhouse string lights used for?
Supplemental light on short days and photoperiod control, such as holding plants in veg or preventing early flowering.
