Keep the reservoir in range and clean at the finish: pH up and pH down concentrates in every size, flushing agents that clear built up salts, and dechlorinators for chlorinated tap water.

pH
Most nutrients are available to plants between pH 5.5 and 6.5, and a mixed reservoir drifts out of that range as plants feed. pH down, usually phosphoric or citric acid, and pH up, usually potassium hydroxide or carbonate, bring it back with a few milliliters per gallon. Adjust after all nutrients are mixed.
Flushing and water treatment
Flushing agents bind and wash out accumulated salts from the media before harvest or when EC runs high. Dechlorinators remove chlorine and chloramine from tap water so beneficial microbes survive.
pH Adjusters & Flushing Agents FAQ
What pH should I run?
5.5 to 6.5 in hydroponics and coco, 6.0 to 7.0 in soil.
How much pH down per gallon?
Usually 1 to 3 ml. Add a little, mix, measure and repeat.
When should I flush?
In the last one to two weeks before harvest, or any time EC in the runoff climbs well above what is going in.
